San Jorge Eco-Lodge offers its guests many options to discover the rich Ecuadorian tradition of horseback riding. Spend delightful days riding through San Jorge Botanical Reserve. The trail affords visitors an unforgettable experience.  As your horse takes you to higher altitudes and the windswept landscapes of the Ecuadorian Paramo, you will marvel at the spectacular views of the Andes Mountains.  All of Quito can be seen from above, as can the ice-capped peaks of distant volcanoes and Andean mountains.  The rolling hills with a variety of planted fields and animal herds make up a patchwork of colors that invite wonderful photographs and memories.

Our guides will accompany both beginners and experienced riders on all trips throughout the reserve. You will encounter the many medicinal plants as well as more than 130 bird species and a wide range of wildlife that inhabit San Jorge Botanical Reserve.
