DAY 1
Evening Airport Transfer to San Jorge Eco-Lodge & Botanical Reserve/Quito located in the Pinchincha foothills – Upper Andean Forest Reserve

Overnight: San Jorge Eco-Lodge Quito, no meals included

Bird photography at San Jorge Eco-Lodge & Botanical Reserve/Quito Birding Center (Andes Highlands)

Photography at hummingbird feeders, trail walking, gardens

Overnight San Jorge Eco-Lodge Quito. Includes: 3 meals

DAY 3
AM Photography at Zuri feeders, continue on to San Jorge de Tandayapa Hummingbird Sanctuary for lunch and photography at the reserve.  (Highland Cloud Forest/Cloud Forest)

We will photograph the most dazzling bird species in Ecuador's mystical could forests. Be prepared to delve into Ecuador's most biologically-diverse bird photo reserves and eco-lodges looking for endemic hummingbirds, vivid tanagers, splendid toucans, skulking antbirds, agile warblers, and, many more.

Overnight San Jorge Tandayapa Eco-Lodge.  Includes: 3 meals

DAYS 4 & 5
San Jorge de Tandayapa Hummingbird Sanctuary (Western Andean Cloud Forest)

We will begin shooting from the 4 observation decks overlooking our prime cloud forest reserve and the bird feeders around the lodge which will provide an incredible amount of bird species.  The bird feeders in front of the main patio are visited by multi-colored species such as the Blue-winged Mountain Tanager, Red-headed Barbet, Streak-capped Treehunter, Three-striped Warbler, White-winged Becard, Metallic-green Tanager, Crimson-rumped Toucanet, Golden-naped Tanager, Golden Tanager, Flame-faced Tanager, Silver-throated Tanager and many more.  Additionally, the hummingbird feeders in front of the breakfast room will be crowded with hummingbirds including the iconic Booted Racket-tail and the Violet-tailed Sylph.

Pristine trails, bird huts, gardens, ponds, steams, wild orchids, butterflies, rare insects, and the Canopy Islands Bird & Wildlife Photo Observation Center. Set up your tripod while dining at our open-air restaurant. Up to 20 species Hummingbirds; 450 species birds.  Olinguito, Kinkajous, endemic squirrels at feeders.

Overnight San Jorge Tandayapa Eco-Lodge. Includes: 3 meals per day

DAY 6

Photography at Amaguza Reserve - Photograph endemic birds at feeders not found in Tandayapa or Milpe – feeders, trails.  Choco’.  Overnight San Jorge Tandayapa Eco-Lodge. 

Includes 3 meals (boxed lunch)

DAY 7
AM Photography Bali Feeders – numerous Hummingbirds & possible Plate-billed Mountain Toucan.  Continue on to San Jorge de Milpe Orchid & Bird Reserve (Western Upper Tropical Rainforest)

Hummingbirds, tanagers and toucan feeders, gardens; trail walking; 45 foot tall spacious observation tower overlooking the canopy. Set up your tripod while dining at our open-air restaurant.

DAY 8
Photography at San Jorge de Milpe Orchid & Bird Reserve

Feeders and forest trails.  Visit Manakin Lek – trail walking.

Bird photo tour at Antisana National Park - Andean Condor Reservation by vehicle (Paramo)

DAY 14
Photography at NEW San Jorge de Sumaco Bajo Bird Sanctuary (Amazonian Tropical Rainforest)

Macaws Boulevard; 60 foot high observation Tower overlooking canopy (optional afternoon river swim)

Possible Harpy Eagle, Blue headed Parrot, Tawny bellied Owl, Dusky headed Parakeet, Chestnut fronted Macaw, 5 Manakin Leks, 9 species parrots, Orange-backed Trupial, Cream-colored Woodpecker, Aracaris.

San Jorge de Sumaco Bajo Bird Sanctuary (Amazonian Tropical Rainforest)

Photography surrounding Limoncocha Ecological Reserve (Amazon region)
