San Jorge is an ideal place to relax after a long journey to Ecuador and acclimatize to higher altitudes. The owner George is a great source of information and is very helpful in finetuning the plans for exploring the country.
The food was excellent and the whole family made me feel really at home

George, My daughters, Lucciana and Rachael, and I loved our stay at
San Jorge. We had the most wonderful time there, and you went out of your way
to make us feel comfortable. The bicycle ride through the cloud forest was a highlight,
and something we will never forget. Another very memorable evening was when we
relaxed and chatted in your kitchen, while my daughters played with your children.
Staying at your beautiful was the perfect way to relax after visiting the Amazon
and Galapagos.

My daughter and I spent sometime at San Jorge
witch overlooks Quito with fantastic views.
It was great to sacpe the hubbub of Quito and be so close at the same time.
San Jorge has great old fashioned style with charming rooms, each containing stone fireplace.
The grounds contain many old style gardens and many
many outdoor activitiesare offered such us hiking, horsebackriding and tours.
he food in the restaurant was very good and the staff in the hotel was excellent in all respects.
We are looking forward to a return visit!

They showed us a lot of the ecological aspects of the Rain Forest. The day trip to Cotopaxi is fantastic!!The indian market in Pujilì is great- very ecuadorian! Horsebackriding in the Andes is wonderful!

Dear future guests,
Since one year, we're sending 2 groups of Dutch tourists to San Jorge every month .... The view is spectacular, the food is good, the fireplaces in the rooms are lovely, and you wouldn't expect such tranquility at such a small distance from Quito .... A perfect place to relax, and start your holidays in Ecuador!

Our flight arrived late and it was releif to see Jorge still waiting, a wellcome warm cup of tea and a fire to warm the room. The next morning a lovely breakfast and serenaded by Jorge senior.Wonderful acordeon music.

A little bit of paradise on Quito´s Doorstep! That´s San Jorge with comfortable lodging for different tastes on several levels overlooking Quito and the surrounding mountain/ volcanoes.
tasty food and a pleasant atmosphere with live music and helpful and friendly staff.
A great place to relax and drink in the gorgeous scenery before you embark on your travels around Ecuador and only a short trip from the airport!!

Needing a reprieve from the City, but not wishing to travel too far; I felt fortunate to learn about San Jorge; so close, but a world apart from the city. I spent a lovely weekend, breathing the fresh air, enjoying good food and lodging with nature all about. I returned to the City, refreshed. I Highly recommend this .

What a gorgeous, comfortable place! George and his staff were very accomodating to all our needs. George was always friendly and informative, and shared many details to educate us about the surroundings and all the flora & fauna. WE had a great time staying at the San Jorge.It was very peaceful and relaxing, the walks and the views over Quito were fantastic. The sorroundings , accomodations and gardens were stunning.
The staff were very friendly and work very hard. It was great to meet George and his family who were lovely, specially his Dad who was a delight and great on the accordeon. George was extremely helpful and made made sure you got the most of your stay.

I had the most relaxing 4 days of my visit to Ecuador staying at the . Staff were charming and could not do enough to ensure that my stay was as enjoyable as possible. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and on a clear day, I would strongly recommend climbing to Roca Pichincha to enjoy the stunning views over Quito and the mountains.

Fantastic setting, lovely wood fires, excellent trecks on horse back. This place was lucky find at the end of along hot journey round Ecuador.
Far enough from the madding crowd of Quito but close enough to the airport.
